I Root Myself in the Present Moment and Allow Inspiration to Rise from Within
In a world that constantly pulls our attention forward and backward—toward what we must do next or what we wish we had done differently—the present moment can feel like the most elusive place to live.
Yet this moment is the only place where life is actually unfolding.
It is where your breath moves in and out of your body.
It is where your intuition whispers.
It is where your creativity awakens.
When we root ourselves in the present moment, something sacred happens. We stop chasing inspiration and instead become a vessel for it.
Inspiration does not come from force.
It rises from presence.
And presence begins with grounding.
When you slow down enough to feel your feet on the earth, when you soften your breath and release the pressure to figure everything out, the wisdom within you begins to speak again.
Your body remembers.
Your womb remembers.
Your spirit remembers.
So many Goddesses believe inspiration must be hunted down through productivity, pressure, or perfection.
But true inspiration is not something we chase.
It is something that rises.
It rises when we create space.
It rises when we listen.
It rises when we return to ourselves.
The present moment is the doorway to that rising.
It is where your next idea is waiting.
It is where clarity begins to form.
It is where your soul reminds you of what truly matters.
The more you practice being here—fully here—the more you discover that inspiration has been living within you all along.
You do not need to become someone new.
You simply need to return to the woman who is already here.
Rooted.
Aware.
Alive.
And from that grounded place, inspiration will rise naturally—like water from a sacred spring.
Questions to Stir in Your Cauldron
- When do I feel most present and connected to myself?
- What pulls me away from the present moment most often?
- What creative ideas or intuitive nudges have been quietly waiting for my attention?
- How might my life shift if I trusted inspiration to rise instead of forcing it?
A Simple Presence Practice
Today, pause for three minutes.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your lower belly.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
Exhale gently through your mouth.
With each breath, repeat silently:
I root myself in this moment.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Allow your mind to quiet.
Notice what arises without forcing it.
A thought.
A feeling.
An idea.
This is the beginning of inspiration.
Closing Blessing
May you remember that inspiration does not live somewhere outside of you.
May you trust the wisdom that rises when you slow down and listen.
May your breath root you into the present moment,
your body anchor you to the earth,
and your spirit open the doorway for new ideas, new creations, and new possibilities.
And may you walk forward knowing that everything you need is already awakening within you.
And so it is . . .
