I let go of worn-out stories; I am writing a new chapter with every breath.

Stories are powerful—but not all of them are true anymore.
Some narratives were written in moments of fear, survival, or limitation. They once helped you make sense of the world, but now they confine you. A worn-out story is one that no longer reflects your reality, yet still whispers in your ear. Letting it go is an act of authorship.

Every breath is a revision. Every choice is punctuation. You are not bound to repeat a chapter simply because it lasted a long time. When you release outdated stories, you reclaim your voice as the narrator of your life—not just the character reacting to circumstances.

Ritual: Breath of Revision

With each exhale, say “I release.”
With each inhale, silently say “I welcome.”

After several breaths, speak the new story you are ready to welcome in.

Questions to Stir in Your Cauldron

  1. What story about myself feels tired or restrictive?
  2. When did I begin believing this story—and why?
  3. What story wants to be written now?

Closing Blessing

May your breath be your pen and your life your living manuscript.
May you write with courage, clarity, and compassion for who you’ve been.
