The Woman You Are Becoming Requires You to Release Who You Were Pretending to Be
There comes a moment on this journey where the masks begin to feel heavy.
Where the roles you once wore so well… start to feel like costumes that no longer fit your spirit.
And it’s not because you’ve failed.
It’s because you’ve grown.
The woman you are becoming is not interested in performing.
She is not interested in shrinking, pleasing, or proving.
She is interested in truth.
And truth will ask you to release the versions of yourself that were built for survival—but are no longer aligned with your becoming.
Sometimes, the hardest part of transformation is not stepping into the new…
It is letting go of what once kept you safe.
The woman who overgave.
The woman who stayed silent.
The woman who shaped herself to be accepted.
Honor her. She got you here.
But do not confuse who you were with who you are meant to be.
You are not abandoning yourself.
You are returning to yourself.
💭 Questions to Stir in Your Cauldron
- Where in my life am I still performing instead of being?
- What version of myself am I ready to lovingly release?
- What would it feel like to show up as my truest self today?
🔮 Mini Ritual: The Sacred Release
Time: 5–10 minutes
You’ll need: Paper + pen (optional candle)
- Sit quietly and take 3 deep breaths.
- Write down the roles or versions of yourself you’re ready to release
(e.g., “the one who overgives,” “the one who stays silent,” etc.) - Read them aloud and say:
“I honor who I was, and I release what I no longer need to carry.” - Tear the paper (or safely burn it if you choose).
- Place your hand over your heart and whisper:
“I return to myself.”
✨ Closing Blessing
May you have the courage to release the masks that no longer serve you.
May you trust that who you truly are is more than enough.
And may you rise, unapologetically, into the woman you were always meant to be.
And so it is.
